From The Principal

June 27, 2017

Dear Eisenhower Community,

I am both excited and honored to be joining the Eisenhower High School family as your new principal.  I would like to take this opportunity to briefly introduce myself.

Professionally, I recently served as principal of Jeannette Junior High School.  Previously, I worked at Utica High School as an Associate Principal.  Before my tenure in the Utica Community Schools, I worked for the Fitzgerald Public Schools in the capacity of Mathematics Teacher and eventually as Assistant Principal at Fitzgerald High School.  I have earned my Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Michigan University as well as a Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership from Wayne State University.

An important aspect of my work as Eisenhower’s principal will be building and maintaining solid relationships with students, families and staff.  I know that Eisenhower is a place where strong academic performance is both the tradition and expectation.  I very much look forward to continuing this tradition and working collaboratively with you to ensure that every Eisenhower student has an academically rich and rewarding experience in a safe and engaging environment.

I also believe that effective communication is paramount in a school.  I encourage you to never hesitate to contact me should you have a concern, question, or idea.  We will achieve our greatest successes when we work together toward the common vision of excellence.

The first day of school will be here before you know it.  In the meantime, I wish you all a happy and safe summer break with your families.  I am proud to have the opportunity to work with such a dedicated community and I look forward to meeting you in the near future.

Sincerely,

Jared A. McEvoy
