Photo of student with certificateMorgan Elementary student Katherine Keenan wanted to help kids in need, so she submitted a proposal to host a change drive to benefit Beaumont Children's and the Children's Miracle Network.

Katherine rallied her principal and school to raise $250 to purchase a wagon.

"Your generosity is very much appreciated," wrote Michelle Anderson, vice president of operations for Beaumont Health Foundation. "(Donations) are critical to helping us bridge the gap between limited hospital resources and ever-growing patient care needs."

Katherine had asked students and parents to donate their spare change.
