Choir in black clothes on risers

Seventy members of the Eisenhower Vocal Music Program competed in Music in the Parks at Six Flags Great America as part of their choir trip to Chicago.

The Festival Chorus was made up of students from all four of the choir classes and only practiced together once before going to Chicago.

The group took First Place in the AA High School Mixed Choir Class, and First Place Overall out of six choirs. The competition involved schools from five different states and Canada.

The choir received a Superior Rating and a score of 95.5 out of 100 points for singing two renaissance a cappella pieces: "Nous Voyons Que Les Hommes" by Jacques Arcadelt and "Non Nobis Domine" by WIlliam Byrd.
